it is a thing. if you really want to get attention on it you could wait a few hours to post the link in a follow up. but later tweets in a thread generally get less attention too

I've heard artists grumble about word triggers like Patreon or Kofi, but tbh I feel like the more likely explanation is that people just don't want to RT/like something they can't see, or haven't consumed fully
