re: the post- slump discourse, there's a lot to be said about connection and loneliness but i also want to point out that not only were we hanging out with people we enjoyed, we were also looking at natural images (bodies, faces, the camp) instead of screens

in 2018 when i experienced my first bout of hypomania / had an emotional awakening or whatever you want to call it i found myself wanting to be intensely social *and* i also found that that urge could be partly fulfilled by hanging out with trees

if you've been feeling lonely try taking walks, ideally somewhere where you can see as much natural stuff as possible (trees, water, birds). it took me a few weeks to really acclimate to this but eventually it felt much better than looking at screens
