of all the tragedies of homeschooling, this might be the worst
recess was the light at the end of the tunnel
the only time that was truly yours
those 15 minutes felt like 15 hours on the best of days
nothing else mattered because we were free

(also 15 minutes is criminal wtf, i don’t remember how long our recesses were but definitely longer)
tbh I had to Google it because they really did feel infinitely long
but I just confirmed with my sister that it was indeed 2x15min in my Canadian public school
