tbc i'm not saying they're the same thing, i'm saying the cluster of things i was trying to point to with "trauma" would in some sense have been more accurately pointed to by "heartbreak"; all the traumas i had in mind were relational

I might see what you’re getting at. But one can probably be heartbroken without it producing a lasting and pernicious effect, which I think is the most salient feature of the ways trauma is discussed here.

This is an excellent idea. Trauma is a huge category. If you can break it down to heartbreak (which is also huge), you’ve made a big step. I worry about you and takesubo’s syndrome
