I live in norcal, and could spin up a more intimate weekend retreat in the bay area pretty quickly.
Could open up slots for 20 vibecampers to each bring one person- referral system allows new people to come while still preserving the vibes.
If that's successful, could do these smaller gatherings pretty often in different cities around the country.
I would maybe try to apply for some kind of community building grant so that I wouldn't have to rely on ticket prices to survive & could just charge costs?
#vibecamp was amazing and I think annual or semi-annual events at that scale are going to be good to start connecting people- but that the real magic is going to happen with smaller local gatherings that allow for deeper connections to be made
I hope Jeff and I can travel a lot as fiancés/newlyweds before we get pregnant/become parents and have to slow down for a bit so I could see us attending these sorts of smaller gatherings as often as we are welcome and volunteering more of our time to make them happen too
I don’t know how many ppl live as far north as we do or how many ppl might be interested in travelling to an event near us but I can see us potentially taking a leadership role in hosting a camp up in the Canadian Rockies if that’s an offer some vibecampers might take us up on
