pondering this whole thing of like “gosh i’d better not tell people how much i actually like them that would be weird” that’s come up a few times not to blame anybody but it’s just so sad! may all beings get to find out how much other people actually like them 🙏

genuine, specific, detailed compliments are shockingly rare, especially for men, and ime literally everyone loves getting them. it is actually fine, no seriously, really. you can easily make someone’s day if not week or month!!!

i remember receiving a compliment on a shirt i was wearing from a woman on my new team took me a long time to process as it was the first earnest compliment i had from a stranger in years that compliment did a lot of work, it always felt good, but it was also a source of growth
