If you're wondering what vibecamp was - it was an egregore coming online, the local organizational principle of which is not just love but boundless curiosity and play
We finally have a mecha-suit to fight Moloch

I wonder about this. I think tpot is an essential piece of the mech suit, but it feels oriented away from Doing Things rn, which makes me think other pieces are needed

This is less true about individual tpoters (who often turn out to be cosmically ambitious) than the egregore itself

The egregore can't and shouldn't be oriented towards specific goals - the egregore is only alive while its vibing. A rose doesn't bloom with a purpose.
Things will be done to serve the vibe, not the other way around.

Agree w this; what I’m saying is that I don’t think the egregore is excited about *doing* at all outside of hanging out.

Eg I think it’s would be low key awkward in tpot if someone started talking about how they’re getting food to Ukrainians, or lobbying politicians about XRisk, or creating an economic mutual aid association in their city

yeah me neither. i see what we're doing right now as trust-building in preparation for what i hope to be an explosion of activity in many spheres
I think I'd not have been optimistic on this kind of outcome before but I'm excited to see people want to actively do things to make the world better.
