this thing about energy dissipation is worth elaborating on in more detail i've been to a lot of events where really interesting people get together and connect - ime it's easy to create a lot of excitement and goodwill and energy by the end, which almost always goes nowhere

3. the energy you’re likely feeling right now is for doing stuff, put it back into the ecosystem before it dissipates. ask if someone wants to do a call, ask for advice, offer advice - absolutely tremendous value waiting to be unlocked in us helping each other thrive

the problem is that typically the event ends and everyone disperses back to wherever they live people try to stay in touch, events sometimes even try to actively encourage this; it basically never happens, the gravitational pull of everyone's separate lives is too strong

with we have the tremendous advantage that more or less by definition twitter is already a tool we have available for staying in touch (not to mention the discord and so forth), so i'm actually quite excited about possibilities for keeping the energy flowing

the afterparties (which i am sadly missing) should be great for this but after that i hope everyone stays in touch on twitter, through DMs, through video calls, through regional meetups much more conversation wants to take place. we have so much to offer each other

this naturally builds more momentum than a one-off call but is still a bounded commitment that people can commit to using bounded resources. it's like going on dates for friendship rather than getting married, so to speak

although i'm maybe getting ahead of myself for the time being maybe simpler to go back to really encouraging everyone to think about who they want to set up 1-on-1 or maybe 3-person calls with to start (i'll be thinking up a few of my own); we need moar talk, just moar

i'd also specifically encourage people to try to use the post-vibecamp high as motivation to set up calls as soon as possible. i hope this doesn't happen but by default, ime, as the high fades it becomes harder to reach out, easier to feel shy / nervous / etc.

Not sure if they meet all your expectations but there are tools for this. I have started using zencastr for podcasting which makes things easier and I’ve heard anchor makes it easier still.
