it was bizarrely sunny the last few days so i spent a lot of time outside looking at things which felt super good. today it was cloudy and rainy the whole day and i've been miserable and right now screens feel very weird and unsatisfying to look at

in retrospect i really took the sunlight situation in the bay area for granted. i could've been getting hours of quality sunlight almost every day and i just stayed inside 😔

also wrt difference in mood between yesterday and today there's a big additional variable that yesterday i was at the peak of my testosterone cycle and today i was at the trough because uh well read this blog post

Similar experience when I was involuntarily hospitalized for 2 weeks and unable to access any technology more advanced than a microwave. When I got out I realized my computer screen was actually an even smaller place to be locked in. I have since recovered and hide from sun again
