(the anime diverges from the manga in the second half which is responsible for the weird ending which i think is thematically unsatisfying personally. this series could use a brotherhood-like reboot that follows the manga faithfully)

6. pet girl of sakurasou ending 1: days of dash by konomi suzuki. the instrumental in the beginning is used to punctuate some emotional moments in the anime and it works well. cute show, cute song, a rare ending that is superior to the opening

7. seven deadly sins opening 2: seven deadly sins by MAN WITH A MISSION. the first verse is entirely in english and the lyrics slap, chorus has some beautiful energy. can't rec this anime, they switch to a much worse animation studio and it gets awful

8. seven deadly sins opening 3: ROB THE FRONTIER by UVERworld. i am not responsible for these capitalizations. the chorus slaps hard but don't watch this season of the anime, this is when it gets bad iirc

9. attack on titan opening 1: feuerroter pfeil und bogen by linked horizon. this is the song you would listen to if you needed to double the size of your balls to kill some titans. i'm not caught up on the anime but the manga gets real weird

10. squid girl opening 2: high powered by sphere. this one really needs the video because it's very cute but i can't find one with the video. the video is cute. the show is cute. watch it if you're feeling sad

11. kill la kill opening 2: ambiguous by GARNiDELiA. video slaps, song slaps, both of them together perfectly capture the show which is incredible, one of my favorite endings in anime, def rec

12. my hero academia opening 4: ODD FUTURE by UVERworld. the chorus fills me with so much energy, i can't explain it. by far the best MHA opening imo, and the show is great too

13. my hero academia ending 2: dakara, hitori ja nai by little glee monster. i forgot how much i liked this song but listening to it just now made me feel happy and cheerful inside

14. death note opening 2: what's up, people!? by maximum the hormone. iconic rain of noise, i was shocked the first time i heard this. somehow they got away with saying "NINGEN FUCKER" because *technically* they're saying "fuan ka" or some shit

17. eureka seven opening 2: shounen heart by home made kazoku. i think this is the first time i heard hip hop in an anime opening, very fresh. idk if anyone else has watched this show but i loved it, giant robots + MPDG. skip the sequel :/

18. magi the labyrinth of magic opening 1: V.I.P by SID. the verses are okay but the chorus goes HARD. the show is surprisingly emotional at times, strong themes, cool characters and powers

20. inuyasha ending 4: every heart by BoA. as a wee lad i downloaded a bunch of inuyasha songs onto my mp3 player and listened to them constantly so they're all imprinted onto my soul. p sure i never finished the anime
