need a new phone soon, someone pill me on your favorite?
i currently have an ancient iphone 5, plus a macbook air and an ipad, so it's convenient to stay in the apple ecosystem but i could be convinced to switch

thanks for the responses everyone. settled on an iphone 13 mini, seemed like a pretty safe and straightforward upgrade option and i was short on time. although i really wish the guy at the apple store had told me i needed to buy an adapter separately bc i didn't 😑

The latest iPhone SE if you want to keep Touch ID and hold off on Face ID.

iPhone 13 pro max, I had the 11 of the same model. It’s just very good. Works. Insane battery.

iPhone 5 (and the SE with the same body) was the best. I got the 12 mini when my SE finally failed and it’s just too big and heavy in comparison. but it’s fine. and it’s nice paying for things with your phone which the SE had but not the 5 iirc

iPhone 13 Pro is my first iPhone and the 120hz display is a game-changer. Don’t think I’ll ever go back.
Go to an Apple store, hold a a 13 in one hand and a 13 Pro in the other, open a random web page on both and just scroll to see the difference.

Without worrying about money: iPhone 13 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S22. Just max the price to whatever size phone you want. No need to max storage of course.
Otherwise, wait for the new iPhone SE rumoured to be announced early March or Google Pixel 6.
I like iPhones for longevity.
