the wordle-like games gc appears to be gradually splitting into factions. there’s the quordle people, the worldle people, and the semantle people. nobody in the gc loves semantle as much as i do

with original wordle i don’t see how i can really improve my strategy from here without fine-tuning my starting word and i know other people have already done that. nowhere to go from here. whereas semantle is so strategically interesting, still feel like there’s plenty to learn

It’s funny how sometimes when I’m searching for a category of words to try, I find the world has shrunk into this low resolution chunky set of descriptions and I feel sorta dumb and reduced.

i had bumped into quordle and worldle but you made me discover semantle, and it's brilliant! thanks

First semantle - thank you for the pointer. Took 62 guesses but I love what is happening in my brain as I puzzle. I have hopes of improving.

Yesterday’s semantle made me feel like word2vec isn’t robust in the right way for this kind of game. By the end I got a bunch of words in the top 100, but wasn’t even in the ballpark (in any embedding my head understands) of the answer

Oh, that is a nifty one. (61 freaking guesses, though. I might get tired of that.)
See also Obscurdle (made by a buddy of mine, though it's not a daily game), or Globle.
