some sensory stuff i'm learning i have: i really feel a lot better when i'm clean-shaven, have very short hair, and have recently showered. also remembering i find ties and tight collars unbearable on my neck, and couldn't wear contacts b/c my eyes refused to stay open

it used to be impossible for anyone to touch me anywhere near my stomach or genitals - i used to say i was "extremely ticklish" - but that's gotten a lot better as i've slowly relaxed more tension around there generally over the last 5 years

probably also partly that i didn't know how to have or enforce touch boundaries for a long time 😬 childhood experiences of having to submit to being touched by doctors etc.

for me it may partly also just be raw lack of stimulation? like i just didn't have experiences available to learn what was safe and what wasn't so nothing felt safe. i've started gently lightly brushing my own stomach and it's very nice, get little frissons

ah, formative years chronic touch starvation, we meet again 🙃
I also do the light touches, big perk of sensitive skin. remarkable how I can just forget that touching my body feels good

hairdryers are also top tier - highly recommend using one when it's cold to heat you & your bed up
(no liability accepted for setting fire to your sheets)
