game state when i gave up. i was looking for words that completed phrases like "this is the ____ option" and "latter" does actually kinda fit before the word "option" but i was thinking words that implied something was better vs. worse

I did too. I ended up giving up.
I don't think it's giving anything away to say: this is the first time I've thought that the similar words don't in ANY way point to what the target word is. I was flabbergasted when I saw what it was.
