I chose option 3, even though I sometimes find it unpleasant to be woken up, just because I don't relate at all to unconsciousness being described as "great". Usually, the more complete my unconsciousness, the better it feels to wake from it

nowadays its not dreadful at all for me; however getting out of bed can be aversive if my room is shitted up lol (in which case i might hide in bed and the hungry ghost realm)

highly variable. I've heard this is largely about the sleep cycle you're in when you're woken up, and that feels right in my experience, but I don't have good awareness of my sleep cycles. (I've considered buying a gadget for this.) ranges from nbd to dreadful.

I’ve been excited to wake up just so I could eat some really tasty food. but when I have to get up to do something painful and stressful (work) that makes all my days unhappy and that I went to sleep thinking I might have better luck with in the morning…

Sleep unconsciousness is great because I really enjoy dreams, they're like reading a book but with *even better* immersion. Being pulled from a dream sucks. Waking up in-between dreams is fine or sometimes even pleasent.

I too often have the experience of being awakened from an amazing dream by my alarm, and then being unable to resume the dream despite desperately wanting to OTOH, I only ever remember dreams when I’m awakened by my alarm
