historically most of my emotional processing has been verbal but i've been increasingly running into stuff that seems like it would benefit from more body stuff on the one hand and more imagery on the other; you can get a lot more rich vivid detail in an image

so i've been slowly incorporating more imagery into my practice, both allowing spontaneous imagery to arise and also focusing on an image to see what feelings it generates. lot of good stuff happening, and also i feel blocked on lack of vividness

i used to think i have a pretty good memory but i'm realizing more now that my memories are really lacking vivid immersiveness. other people report a lot more sensory and emotional detail than i can ever manage and this seems changeable

idk seems like there's a lot of stuff going on here and i don't have a good handle on it. would be very curious to hear from anyone else who's worked with stuff like this, esp. if you've substantially increased the vividness and immersiveness of your memories
