i am terrible at it too! but it feels like good practice for me at least, when i’m in the right space to be open to trusting someone else in this way i guess your OP sums up a lot of what i grapple with too, ie trusting others when i’m not leading

yeah — the past trust violations part makes it hard for me to engage with physically exploring boundary stuff with people. i want to get back into contact improv, which is another dance suggestion i’d offer, but haven’t felt ready. i have to take baby steps.

one thing a friend and i were working with recently (she’s a fellow somatic-therapist-in-training like me) was playful and gentle physical resistance, like having our hands or arms touch, and alternating between flowing with one another in movement and resisting one another
