i had to ignore all the guided meditations and just do my own thing for this sort of reason, just had to personalize the whole thing extensively to what actually made me feel safe and comforted and etc.

it took awhile to get to this point but right now i can do stuff like, if i allow myself to feel things and what comes up feels like a panicky young child part, my ideal mother can soothe that young child part in like 5 seconds to a minute depending
usually i have to pair it with shaking but it's shockingly fast and doesn't require any loud noises so i can even do it at home
