if you're impatient to read introspect (I am too, lol) I highly recommend reading this in the meantime. "self-contempt as a substitute for self-worth", "sense of humor connected with one's sense of selfhood", feel like we independently converge on all the same talking points

2 simplistic stories: a) sex is corrosive: if you have sex before installing the catalytic converter of marriage it will erode your soul and fill you with shame b) sex is inert: it’s just pleasure. do all the sex you can, you’ll never regret it. if you hesitate, you’re team A

children have taste, they know what they want. this is where all the riffs of “genius is just allowing your childself to survive intact into adulthood” come from. the problem is that people get inside their own heads, internalize social bullshit from others

god it's so satisfying that my personal DIY thinking converges so perfectly with like a professional therapist from 70 years ago who saw actual patients etc. this greatly alleviates my constant anxiety of "what if i don't know wtf im talking abt and i'm wasting everyone's time"
