Your identity is the most important part of your psychological makeup. It is quite literally the framework of your personality . Your thoughts, feelings, opinions, worldview and behaviors are all extensions of your identity.

You will unconsciously act in alignment with your identity 99.9% of the time. And on the rare occasions you act out of alignment with it, it will do everything it can to snap you back to your old behaviors.

This is because without a stable identity, you literally don’t know who you are and you begin to spiral into a an identity crisis. This is something your brain will work tirelessly to help you avoid.
