a thing i'd like to see that i don't particularly have the time/energy to really get into rn is a sort of trope family tree that has a standardized-ish aesthetic to it. pixel art might be a nice way to approach it. featuring mythic characters and pop culture

it was a really satisfying exercise to even try this much. may have indirectly led to me currently reading narnia now and i'm really glad. there's this magic in there that feels so fresh and pure and i feel like i'm seeing more clearly how other fantasy is pale imitations
