What is the difference between “manipulative” and “persuasive”?

a manipulation pits part of you against another part of you. a persuasion is something you’re unanimously into
then i guess you learn something 😅
i suppose there's also a question of the intent of the manipulator / persuader - did they knowingly try to get you to do something harmful to you, for their benefit
