Internal Family Systems people - is it possible for different parts to be at different developmental stages?
Say a part is quite young/created in early childhood - would that part be limited to the developmental stage at the time it emerged?

v much so - parts get stuck at specific ages, specific memories, being stuck developmentally kinda comes with that territory
core transformation has a step where you explicitly ask them to grow up (by integrating your memories of growing up)
Did you use the Core Transformation book (Andreas) to work with this stuff?

nope, asked a friend to guide me through a few sessions, i didn’t make much progress and the one time i asked a part if it wanted to grow up it said “NO” very firmly 😅

I haven't looked into core transformation stuff at all, sounds like I need to

iirc has a little handbook of the steps that’ll be a lot shorter to look at than the full books that you could ask her for

Agree with , I find it's the norm. But I'm noticing that I never thought to consider it because it never seemed to matter. Only thing that ever mattered to me was "how do you need to be approached, and how can I help you?"
