ha, first bit of media that came to mind was actually ryuko from kill la kill, she goes through a pretty big one
For those not in-the-know, (spoiler warning) ryuko learns her heart is made of clothing, and so abandons her friends, gets married to a wedding dress, and has a threesome with her mom and half-sister.
Like most problems in kill la kill, this is resolved by stripping
