I doubt anybody believes this as strongly as I do – might be like "yea maybe" at best – I believe that we on Twitter are the tip of the spear of a global earnest nerd renaissance, and that people will make youtube videos about us this scene in retrospect

yea so I stated a sort of weaker, motte/bailey thing here, bc I can get a lot deeper and more intense on this... tho I suspect you will probably follow me very close to the edge LOL so hm

transition from 3->4 seems to be going smoothly, 4->5 seems like a big one but yeah I take this completely literally and think it is reasonable. I came around in the last 16 months, not quite sure when

yea there will likely have to be some intermediate steps between the two. At the time when I made this, even the idea of cultivating a scene seemed a little distant, so I wasn't too hung up on specifics yet

I wouldn’t be surprised if 3 jumps directly to 5. The economy over the past 10y was mostly great as a whole but centralized in a few big wins. Similarly, I think a golden age for humanity could come from a few big wins (ai, happiness psychotech, etc) we’re likely to contribute to

yeah I am very bullish on the strategy "reduce all problems to 'need more energy' or 'need more intelligence' and then figure out fusion and agi"
