it's not more popular because it directly attacks one of the foundational memes making capitalism work if people stop caring about money they'll stop taking terrible jobs for money on a more personal level: "well then what did i waste my life on terrible jobs for"

I had a potential tweet that I’m trying to come up with the right phrasing for that’s something like: “If 2021 was the year everyone figured out how good inner work is for personal well-being, 2022 will be the year everyone figures out that it’s insanely politically subversive.”

it is a Whole Thing, i don't mean to get all conspiratorial about it but there are obviously societal forces for whom genuine transformational inner work acts very much against their interests
