Feeling kind of torn.
Shadow integration isnt the most important thing to me anymore. It was only ever a means to an end.
What I really want is to help people embrace the hero archetype and to live like heroic individuals.
Conversation
Shadow integration is just one of the tools I use to help people get there.
I'd have to rebrand as the heroic individualist guy, which I'd actually like to do... but I get so much out of being the shadow integration guy.

I get to be so many peoples first access point into this incredibly powerful psychological framework. I get to be a resource that helps make something so complex and abstract feel attainable.

But when I sit down to write about shadow integration, it just seems dull. It doesn't ignite anything in me.
But as soon as I remember heroic individualism, I feel alive and it puts my life into context. It gives me something to fight for.

But nobody even knows what that is.
Whereas with so many people are waking up to the importance of shadow work, finding my work is a huge relief for so many people.
I don't want to lose that, but I do have to be honest.

Shadow integration is a means to an end, it's meant to help you become the best version of yourself.
Shadow integration for its own sake is naval gazing, you can waste your life doing that.
There's something bigger.

oh this is so interesting to hear from you. i'm thinking about shadow integration as like the descent into the underworld part of the hero's journey. it could be part of your "funnel" but not the whole thing?
