I talk a good game but the everyday reality of my life is almost entirely constrained by an arbitrary network of neuroses & anxieties & self imposed rules & stories of imaginary monsters that rope down almost all choices leaving just enough freedom to wiggle my little finger

Quote Tweet

This was also to distinguish it from psychotic. People who felt like they fit neither but were somewhere in between got described as “borderline”. This is where the name for BPD comes from.
