How did you "become ok" (or even become excited) with doing therapy thingies? My first mental block is the thought "if im having to put so much effort into this, im ngmi"

the third thing is that when i started i was a grad student and had both a comfortable net of savings and a ton of free time because i was, uh, not really doing any research. so i was in a very privileged position to be able to spend a ton of time and some money on this

a lot of the other people i know doing stuff like this, again, are similar - many had tech jobs they quit b/c they couldn’t stand them anymore and now have comfortable amounts of savings to live on while going to workshops or doing solo stuff etc.
