here is my tentative recommendation for magnesium glycinate so far: it appears to be making me more anxious but in a good way
specifically i suspect the anxiety is buried psychological material that i haven't felt safe enough to work with coming up

i suspect this because i've been working with the material coming up every day for the last 5ish days and, wow, good things are happening. progress on stuff i've been avoiding looking directly at for years
and *after* i work with it i am *much* calmer than typical

oh, someone mentioned that ideally you're supposed to pair magnesium with sunlight, i haven't been doing that because there hasn't been any. idk man

I haven't taken mag glycinate but I do appreciate mag citrate and mag malate. Mag citrate is very calming for me but malate is possibly better for kidneys(? iirc) but can give too much energy making me feel anxious. I now take mag citramate, combo of two. I like Thorne brand.

Hmm was wrong apparently mag citrate is actually good for your kidneys. Anyway keep doing what you're doing if it's working for you but if you wanted to try other formulations, Thorne has a few. I've been using their products ~4 years now and like them. thorne.com/products/dp/ma
