I really like mediocre movies sometimes, cuz it’s so much easier to watch the plot structure and how it works. Good movies make it look effortless

“X-men: Apocalypse” is one of the worst movies imaginable—but watching it was an absolute delight for this exact reason. I learned more about storytelling in that theater than in a dozen books on story structure combined.
