it’s been worth it to either get or rule out so many common letters, here’s an example
why not do TEARY and then COINS? get yourself an extra letter.

oh that's not bad. sometimes i don't do COINS though if TEARS already gives me enough info. i like having the S early especially in the last position, scouting out whether the word ends in S is valuable. but that seems worth trying
