meditation does not have to involve sitting down, you do not have to be still, you do not have to be quiet, you do not have to be alone, you do not have to be in a group, you do not have to be inside, you do not have to control your thoughts, you do not have to control anything

i think it’s possible to play video games meditatively, whatever that means, yes!

i just started playing them again after a decade of no gaming and it feels like a experience that subjectively rebalances me in an important way, or something

for me it was private gaming, seemed like it opened a playful/enjoyable space explicitly disconnected from the sociality that had come to dominate my waking hours but yes Halo is also amazing
