Ok I need some help for the final stretch: can you tell me about any of my tweets, talking points, etc that you found personally helpful? Would be great if you can point to it, but if you only vaguely remember it that’s also useful

hmm so on the one hand i think this is core and addresses one of the main failure modes of introspection where you just sit around navel-gazing and never move forward, but on the other hand i wonder from afar if the book is getting bloated and needs to be split

i might be tempted to split into something like "introspect on what is" vs. "introspect on what could be"??? not sure that's an even division but it feels conceptually neat at least

i think perceptual control theory suggests that motivation and action arise out of having both 1) where you are right now and 2) where you want to be in your awareness. it’s awareness of the gap between the two that produces motivation and action, which seeks to close the gap
