TLP was maybe one of the smartest cultural critics writing when the blogosphere was still the hot new thing
He had a wonderful talent for spotting and explaining the dynamics of pathological narcissism, especially as it played out in the media and people's interactions with it

Something about the writing struck me as a woman purposefully imitating TLP
the Tumblr nativity and unforced social justice swerves in the writing struck me as someone authentically invested in social movements, which of course TLP and most anon internet dudes are not
