I love roguelikes/lites and after playing dozens my two favorites are Hades and Deadcells.

Agreed on both counts. Both are clearly labors of love by companies that genuinely seem to care about their community of players to boot.

Yes it does a great job of making death more than merely 'not an obstacle', but moreover a welcome inevitability (gotta get that next conversation unlock!)
