this is maybe a dumb question but are there places in the world where you go out to vibe with, like, strangers at the mall and they seem generally happy rather than unhappy? idk if i’ve ever lived in one

some of the small towns in New Zealand are very happy and friendly places

both in Taipei and Seoul I couldn't read the vibe very well, but I found that kinda everyone was inviting everyone out to eat and drink all the time, like the barrier to eating w a stranger was very low
