this is maybe a dumb question but are there places in the world where you go out to vibe with, like, strangers at the mall and they seem generally happy rather than unhappy? idk if i’ve ever lived in one

Orange County was like this when I was a kid. I’m not sure if it is anymore, but when I used to go out to the mall/movie theater, people were generally pretty happy.

oh nice! things were kinda overall nicer and happier back in the late 90s / early 2000s too tho 😅
