I met the dude who invented this and imo there's something real here but I've also personally seen him and his practitioners irresponsibly fuck ppl up/retruamatize them

If anyone is to get into this my main advice would be to titrate and ground a lot and to limit the time they spend doing this. It can get away from u fast

The aim is to have a relationship with the tremors, not just let them loose and see where it goes and I don't think they do a good enough job of ensuring this, and ppl get hurt

Is it like... ok, there's been some tension stored up in muscular holding patterns, let's shake that loose aaaand... whoop, traumatic memories! No context to process or metabolize the meaning, no other grounding methods?

Yes, that and also just teaching people this technique and then sending them off on their own to practise can end up with someone unlocking this vast reservoir of energy with no regulation skills. They can end up perpetually shaking for example

I still think shaking is good tho! It's an amazing natural process that has probably helped people more than its hurt them. But it's missing some harm reduction stuff
