i would've liked veggies more as a kid if i had been exposed to lentils and chickpeas i think. lentils and chickpeas are tight. whereas i did not like eg carrots as a kid and i still don't like em now

carrots are so pointless. i have never once in my life enjoyed eating a carrot. i begrudgingly admit to enjoying the color they lend chicken curry katsu and that's about it

Not even a fan of carrots fried in a skillet or cooked in the oven? They get so much tastier

+1, big diff between mushy boiled-into-a-paste carrots vs roasted / pan-fried carrots

When I was climbing a lot and trying to get lighter I would regularly eat a kilo of raw carrots over the course of a training session, they are the absolute hands down best snack for cutting I’ve ever come across

I would buy a kilo bag in the shops on the way to the gym and throw the empty bag into the bin on the way out the gym door

I almost protested, except yeah the times I'm thinking of "enjoying" carrots were more like "finding them unobjectionable"

yeah some vegetables should be cooked and mixed into something else. Like, it's ok carrots, you can be an ingredient. The problem is people thinking I should eat an ingredient
