this question directly inspired by doing a binge reread of the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy series btw. the last few books are more interesting than i remembered. douglas adams drops some good hot takes. if you’re like me and haven’t read them in 15 years, worth a shot

What do people who believe in astrology (believe in it literally, not as some kind of crit rat placebo psych-hack or entropy source for cognitive annealing or the like) think would happen if a person were born and raised on Mars? How about in another star system?

I think the reference points would be different but the overall picture (being at a fixed point with many reliable revolving bodies around you) would be the same. You'd need another 2k of shared cultural mythology about what each body meant tho
