anyone here know anything about itching as an anxiety symptom? this is something that's been lowkey bothering me for years but not frequently enough that it was a priority, but it's been happening more recently

tiny amounts of googling suggests it has something to do with histamine intolerance. it used to only happen to me when i was exposed to sunlight but lately it's been happening indoors, triggered by specific thoughts or feelings

Doing IFS, various Parts have shown up as itching for me. Trying talking to the itch in your mind, does it have anything it wants you to know?

Maybe unrelated, but I notice indoor animals overgroom from understimulation. They will lick and scratch some areas bare.

I get this at one spot on my neck consistently. Especially when trying to sleep. A dermatologist recommended Cerave moisturizing lotion. It helps.
But fixing the anxiety is the main thing.

I once had stress hives from severe stress/ anxiety. I was so itchy and I had rashes randomly. I thought I was allergic to my dog but nah it was stress. I had to get blood work done to verify this and SSRIs helped
