the polyvagal curve stuff says that the process of breaking out of freeze involves passing through fight / flight; that means, somewhat counterintuitively, that going from feeling frozen towards your parents to feeling viciously angry and hateful is an *improvement*
Yeah it does loop around eventually, though if you've really put time into healing there will be a new gap wherein you see their unresolved shit thoroughly
i don't feel angry and hateful (most of the time at least)... i guess it feels like this chasm opened up between us and i'm squinting and waving to them across it
A possible explanation, but all progress I've made with meditation, IFS, etc has been quite detrimental to interpersonal relationships. And it has nothing to do with this...
