wonder if this is an effect of doing exercises for the sake of building muscle as opposed to moving things and yourself around in the world directly for object-level reasons 🤔
i try to do exercises like squats that are as compound as possible to minimize this i think. not particularly interested in building individual muscles so much as improving whole-body functional strength and coordination or whatever they call it

It just sounds not natty what Rosalind might be describing. Natural body builders muscle tissue is 'softer'. Folks on PEDs end up a bit bulkier and harder.

Pretty sure it’s the opposite. Heavy weight hypertrophy will lead to dense hard to touch muscle. Bodybuilding like glycogen hypertroy will lead to super soft unless flexed blobs of muscle
