I'm starting to become convinced that a whole cluster of problems that I thought were separate were variations of "back not strong enough" - this sounds like one that I now label "rhomboids not strong enough" worth a shot exploring if nothing else helps!

#1 incredible twitter handle #2 I am not trying to blow you up at all, but it's not rhomboids that are the issue, usually. Rhomboids downwardly rotate the scapula (think reaching behind you); it's middle and lower trap that do retraction/depression/upward rotation
