Can someone help me develop arguments against using these in classrooms? My friend's 6 year old is suffering from pretty bad anxiety because of it. They're called clip behavior charts and children are ranked based on their behavior. They're displayed publicly in the classroom.

Apparently they're in all classrooms at my friend's son's school. He wants to make a case to the school board against using them and I figured out guys would have some effective takes.

jesus. at a bare minimum it shouldn't be a ranking. some kids are doing fine and some kids need help and the second set of kids is not worse than the first
I think a major part of the issue is that not all kids can change behavior based on social punishment and/or reward.
