it’s still avoiding screens at night that’s still the main intervention 😩 although last night i added in some more L-theanine than normal and some shaking. also burping

avoiding blue light is probably helping but the main effect of avoiding screens afaict is that i'm more embodied. staring at screens all day has a tendency to reinforce dissociation / freeze states and when i'm unplugged i can start wiggling my way out

the main sign i've been paying attention to is if my hands start warming up. that's a pretty reliable signal of coming out of freeze for me

also i keep forgetting to mention the oral appliance for sleep apnea. plus a sleep mask. okay that's my actual entire sleep stack i think

i use this oral appliance for sleep apnea; it helps although it is also very annoying and i think it might be giving me TMJ issues :/

a lot of my male friends are getting auto cpaps now to see if it helps btw. I got one but the pressure is kind of a lot, there's an acclimation period to see if it helps
(sleep apnea-like things are more common with males I think)

Does pillow height/ keeping your shoulders on/off the pillow make a difference for mouth breathing vs. nasal breathing? The neck angle feels like it makes a difference
