Real talk I have thought about this but meditation is uncinematic af. Siddhartha’s pretty popular and widely read though.

i don’t think you have to make it about meditation per se! there’s already too little popular fiction where characters see through illusory mental constructs, that sort of thing, you could make that plenty cinematic and dramatic withour anyone needing to sit

I guess it depends how obliquely you’re allowed to tackle it. The “search for wisdom” story, in which the hero travels far and wide only to discover what he was looking for was at home the whole time, is pretty common. And I read that in dharma terms.
