i heard a rumor that covid eradicated the flu or something but uh might as well get the flu shot just in case, this is not a flu season where i particularly want to take chances

my understanding is that flu can’t really be entirely eradicated because of all the animal reservoirs, but there were something like 2000 cases of flu last year in the entire US
