and, interestingly, the inverse seems also kinda true, being demonically distribution-minded can make you seem very lovable to lots of people, except the tiny subset of grumpy irritables (my favorite people) who are hypersensitive to this. successful sales guys are rockstars

hmmmmm going into my own head off on a tangent from this… cool thing about thinking more + better as you get older is that old experiences start to make more sense when viewed through new and different lenses

Some people are soooo averse to any talk of distribution at all that they instantly assume I must be dangerously indifferent to product. Sometimes it takes me years to persuade people that I’m not who they assume I must be

if you seriously care about product then you have to care about product dev then you have to care about distribution, or at least respect it enough to see that it’s what gives you the resources you need to keep playing. the field is littered with corpses of the honourable dead

and my frustration with the honorable dead is that while they might think that they died for noble reasons, they also fucking died and it means they can’t help with the fight anymore. very convenient, being dead. nobody can ask anything of you. they can only scream at your grave
